About
My name is Paweł Dubiel. I am a software and solution architect with more than twenty years in software development. I live in Warsaw.
Professionally I work on distributed systems and event-driven architecture, subscription billing, renewals and migrations, and payment integrations. Most of that work is on the JVM (Java, Kotlin), with a lot of attention to concurrency, performance, data consistency, idempotency and failure handling.
What this site is
This is my public notebook. I write mostly for myself, but readers are welcome: keeping it public helps me stay organized about what I am learning.
- Articles are analyses, research write-ups and texts from my own practice: language models, agents and building software.
- The glossary explains language model concepts from the ground up, often with an interactive visualization.
- Notes are shorter working notes: reading, observations and things I come back to.
Most new texts are written in Polish first. Translations are published under the language switcher of each article.
How the texts are made
I use AI-generated content as part of my daily learning process. Every text prepared this way carries a clear note below it.
Projects and contact
My own projects, including the AgentMachine agent runtime, are on GitHub. Professionally you can find me on LinkedIn. New texts are available through RSS.
